3 months old

Oh my goodness, I can't believe that my sweet, tiny, 8 pounds 1 oz baby boy is 3 months old today. Jonah is the sweetest, most loving baby boy I've ever seen. He loves to smile at everyone! He definitely knows how to be a charmer.

Jonah is around 14 pounds and 25 inches long! He is a big boy ;) he is a little champ when it comes to breastfeeding and always has been. He is eating every 2-3 hours and usually sleeps through the night. If he does wake up, it's usually just to get a quick snack and goes right back to sleep. This week we started putting him in his crib at night and he is doing great with it. He is already getting into his little bedtime routine. Every night consist of bathtime, family time, (we read his baby bible) and then he nurses for a few minutes to get to sleep. Normally I don't hear from him again for about 6-8 hours!

Jonah is just starting to play with toys. He is starting to hold them and has even been caught shaking his rattle recently to hear the noise. It's so much fun watching him learn new things. We are still waiting for that baby giggle. He tries so hard to laugh and he always does a cough laugh but it's like he can't get the giggle out. I know that I absolutely cannot wait to hear that sweet baby chuckle!

God sure did pick the perfect baby boy for us! We are having so much fun watching him grow and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us!

"Homeade" Payday candy bar

Now that Fall is here it seems like everyone has a sweet tooth. Well, this is something that my aunt brought to a family trip last year and lets just say it's coming with us again this year on our trip. Candy corn and peanuts. Yep, that's it. It turns out that if you eat candy corn and peanuts at the same time it taste just like you are eating a Payday candy bar. It's just something about that salty and sweet combo that gets me. I know there is nothing healthy about this little combo we've got going on but let's face it...it's good! Another funny thing about this is that I hate candy corn. I can't stand that sugar taste that it has. When paired with peanuts, it taste nothing like the traditional taste of candy corn.
We have been keeping a candy jar in the kitchen cabinet filled with this combo. It would be a great on the go sweet fall treat for little ones (old enough for peanuts that is) I honestly don't know why it's so good but there is just so something about it. This is definitely something great to sit out for Halloween parties, fall family gatherings, or just because. Try it out and you'll understand exactly what I mean!
Happy Fall :)
